Happy Wanderer

I am a homebody.  I love to be at my beautiful farm and create a cozy nest to settle in and appreciate the beauty around me.  Having said that, I also like nothing better than to travel near and far to experience the beauty of other places.
This past holiday season takes me to a recent visit to Savannah, Georgia where I spent four amazing days touring the city and admiring the outstanding architecture and history the city has to offer.  There are few places of beauty that can rival Savannah during any season of the year.  The squares, each unique and lovingly cared for by both the city and the residents living nearby offer such a quiet place to reflect or enjoy a favorite beverage.   The residents go out of their way to be friendly.......especially to visitors who clearly have no agenda......and offer kind suggestions of things to do, restaurants to dine in, or just general directions to get you from one place to another.   Never drive.......walk everywhere because you will miss the essence of the city if you don't go slow and take your time.......slow, southern style......that's Savannah! A wonderful time.........
